It's a Wrap
This year's Shore Leave (a Baltimore-based Star Trek convention regularly attended by many people involved with this project) was the site of REVELATIONS' wrap party. Cast and crew gathered for an evening of fun, renewing the bonds of friendship forged by time together on the movie.
CineMaryland's documentary on the quarry shoot was screened, as well as the REVELATIONS teaser-trailer and a blooper reel. The sometimes hysterical laughter was increased when Spat was recognized for his invaluable contributions both in front of the camera and behind the scenes (not to mention on the stage at Farpoint!) and presented with the highly-coveted PanicStruck thong.
As a thank-you to the volunteers who made REVELATIONS possible, some door prizes were awarded. Kevin "Darth Zippy" Zabawa won a pack of REVELATIONS postcards, Spat received a production crew t-shirt (and many cries of "Fix! Fix!" when his name was called!), and Eugenia Martin got a beautiful REVELATIONS poster. Then everyone joined Dawn and Shane in a champagne toast to the success of REVELATIONS and PanicStruck Productions.
The fun didn't stop there. One of the Star Trek groups at the convention were holding a Chocolate Tasting party immediately outside the bar and many delicious, decadent treats found their way into the hands of wrap party attendees. Chris Santana set up his laptop and ran a CD-Rom with examples of in-progress CGI and FX work. The convention's Friday Night Karaoke lured a number of talented REVELATIONS folks, including Herr Director himself, to strut their stuff on stage.
