A Few Words From the Producer

REVELATIONS ran into an unexpected glitch at the June weekend shoot when one of the cameras had an incorrect setting. The footage came out quite a bit dark and grainy and though the director and producer dreaded asking everyone to sign up for one last round, we went ahead and did it.

However, it turns out it was a fortuitous accident as it gave us an opportunity to tighten up the script and shoot some scenes we were unable to capture the first time around. August 16 was the reshoot of the big climactic portion of REVELATIONS. It was a huge success! While cast and crew were exhausted (we began set-up at 6pm, wrapped shooting at 4:30am and were out of the caves by 5am), all were thrilled with the new footage.

So nearly a year after the start of principal photography, production has officially ended! No more shooting. (Or so we hope.) The director and producer are currently editing the footage into final format to give to the visual effects team.

These guys are working hard and turning out some stellar stuff! Of course it doesn't help that REVELATIONS is one of the most heavily effects laden Star Wars Fan Film to date. Nearly all the scenes require some type of effect shot. Whose idea was this anyway?!?

While the visual effects team works their magic other artists are beginning their craft. Tod Smith has joined us to create the official release movie poster for REVELATIONS a'la Drew Struzen-style. Our friend Fummin in Japan will be taking on the task of translating REVELATIONS into a manga-style comic. And David Powell and Lisa Regan are working on original music in the style of John Williams. (It's not a rip-off, it's an homage....) :D

There's a lot going on and the work never stops. The official REVELATIONS movie trailer has a tentative release date of February 2004. Be sure to check out the teaser-trailer that has already been released -- it's been updated with new scenes and CG.

Everyone's pushing for a tentative late summer 2004 release. We'll keep you posted!
